I was browsing Vimeo for a new video to put up on the site and luckily found just this one of Larry King’s beautiful plane. This is a man who does love his private jet and Vimeo user Thermodyn4mics quickly took a shot of it as he pulled up to the hangar. Sadly there isn’t much more information on his jet, but this is taken from Pearson Airport in Toronto. As for the rest, I’m counting on my readers here as usual to fill me in on the details. It’s not too often I get a glimpse of a celebrities jet so if you know of anymore don’t hesitate to send them on in!

There are a lot of private jets in the world at this point, but there still are only a handful that have gone custom. A handful that have gone to such extremes as to bring their home with them literally wherever they go. Donald Trump’s private jet has by far my favorite private jet bathroom that I’ve seen.

So, you think you’re at top of the pile with your $120,000 Gallardo. Granted, your car is a symbol of your status in society, or at least a testament to how much debt your willing to go into, but even when you hold a Bugatti Veyron to some of the world’s most luxurious private jets, there is no competition. Having access to a G550 at a moments notice is a luxury afforded to only the most elite businessmen and it doesn’t necessarily involve the self-indulged status showing off that an Italian sports car does. No, flying privately is a whole other game altogether. It is one of need rather than gloat. If you are chartering a private jet, odds are that you need the convenience, privacy and speed with which it completes your tasks. Purchasing a private jet outright can be rather costly, however. At the upper end you’re looking at spending nearly $60 million and at the lower end you should be looking somewhere in the neighborhood of $40 million. Either way, they don’t make enough Veyrons each year to add up to the cost of one of the world’s most expensive private jets.
5. Dassault Falcon 7X: $41 million

The Falcon was introduced in 2005 as as Dassault Aviation’s Flagship jet. It is a large-cabin, long-range business jet that sits at the pinnacle of their line. The plane is built in France and has a reputation for it’s fantastic build quality. It is estimated to cost around $41 million USD.
4. Gulfstream V-SP: $45 million

The Gulfstream V-SP was the G550′s predecessor and as such was at the top of the private jet world. The Gulstream V-SP is used by the US military as well but it is known as the C-37A. This was one of Gulfstream Aerospace’s high points and helped establish them as one of the world’s foremost jet producers.
3. Bombardier Global Express XRS: $47.7 million

French Canada’s Bombardier builds an incredible jet in the Global Express XRS. It is an ultra long range corporate and VIP jet capable of speeds pushing 600 MPH. It is an incredible piece of machinery and has basically proven that Bombardier can build whatever it likes and it will be incredible.
2. Boeing Business Jet 2: $55.5 million

Everybody’s favorite Giant American Corporation General Electric got together with Boeing Commercial Airplanes to produce the BBJ2. The Boeing Business Jet 2 is a variant of some other Boing Jet, initally the 737, that is capable of carrying up to 50 passengers with room for amenities such as a master bedroom, a washroom with showers, and both a dining room and living room. I guess when you’re majority shareholder in one of America’s largest corporations you really grow tired of 14 seater planes and can afford to fly an apartment through the sky. It is absolutely incredible that this jet exists and some of them are marvels of engineering, luxury and design.
1. Gulfstream G550: $59.9 million

And the G550. When rappers rap about flying in private jets, they wish it was the G550. This plane has the longest range in its class and can literally fly you to the other side of the world. It is at the pinnacle of aeronautical technology and is just an absolute pleasure to fly. The plane is beautiful to look at and even more incredible to be inside. It will cost your almost $60-million.

Cakes are big business. With TLC’s lovable and ridiculous cake boss, my buddies having a cake off this weekend, and things like cake pops, the industry seems to be taking the world by storm. Whether you’re a sweet sixteen princess and pregnant or whatever the show is, Puff Daddy, or just giving into your sweet tooth, cakes are getting more fantastic and unbelievable than ever before.
I came across a lady name Caryn who happens to have a cake shop. If you read the title of the article, you might see where this is going and she has indeed made a very cool private jet cake. Somebody really must like flying privately. Initially, she made a cake modeled after a Lear Jet which looked quite good and delicious indeed. Later, however, she created another, different jet that looked even better.
My most memorable cake experience was in a shop called De Taart van m’n Tante in Amsterdam. The whole experience was a trip and the wife absolutely loved the crazy decor, weird atmosphere and cake for princesses. Charter a private jet to The Netherlands and stop by for desert if you get a chance. On the other hand, check out Caryn’s Cakes if you’re in Atlanta and let me know how they taste!
